Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of sheet2sql (the "Service") available at https://sheet2sql.com. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Who We Are

1) Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old and have legal capacity to agree to these Terms. Do not share or transfer access.
- The Service is provided for evaluation and testing only.
2) Your Content & License to Us
- You retain ownership of files, data, and prompts you submit ("Your Content").
- You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, and transmit Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service.
- Personal data in business files is permitted. However, we discourage uploading special-category data under GDPR (e.g., health, biometric, racial/ethnic origin, sexual orientation) or criminal offense data. If you include such data, you are responsible for having a lawful basis (e.g., explicit consent) and all necessary permissions, and you acknowledge the Service is not designed for regulated data (e.g., PCI or medical records).
3) AI Outputs
- The Service may generate outputs (e.g., SQL, text). Subject to third-party rights, we grant you a license to use, copy, and modify outputs for your purposes.
- Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your use case. You must validate outputs before relying on them.
4) Acceptable Use
- You will not: (a) violate laws or others’ rights; (b) attempt to access the Service or underlying systems without authorization; (c) interfere with or disrupt the Service; (d) reverse engineer, scrape, or harvest data; (e) submit malware; (f) use the Service to develop competing models or extract datasets; (g) circumvent rate limits or security controls.
5) Third-Party Services
- The Service uses third parties, including Vercel (hosting), OpenAI (AI models), LangSmith (operational logging), and Supabase (waitlist storage). Your use is subject to their terms as applicable. We are not responsible for third-party services.
6) Beta Service; Changes & Availability
- The Service is experimental and provided on a preview basis. Features may change, be interrupted, or discontinued at any time without notice. No uptime or support commitments are provided.
- We may suspend or terminate access immediately for misuse, security reasons, or at our discretion.
7) Intellectual Property
- We (and our licensors) own the Service and related IP (including software, models, documentation, trademarks, and logos). These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you.
8) Disclaimers
- THE SERVICE AND OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND QUIET ENJOYMENT. YOU ALONE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VALIDATING OUTPUTS.
- The Service does not provide legal, financial, or professional advice.
9) Limitation of Liability
- TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
- TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID (IF ANY) FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.
- Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10) Indemnity
- You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator from and against claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
11) Governing Law & Disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer in the EU/UK, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
- Where permitted, courts located in Berlin, Germany have jurisdiction; consumers may bring claims in their local courts where required by law.
12) Changes to These Terms
- We may update these Terms. The updated version will be posted with a new effective date. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
